If you have recently started exploring the DC Comic universe, Batman should be on the top of your list. Batman is one of the most recognisable fictional characters out there. But unlike most other superheroes, Batman isn’t born with any impressive powers. He is just a man with a sharp brain and a tragic past, which motivates him to make sure justice is served.
Arguably, Batman is also far more relatable than god-like superheroes such as Wonder Woman or Superman. He has made many mistakes that are hard to deny and doesn’t always have a strong moral compass. But that is exactly what makes people feel like they could be Batman.
Bruce Wayne’s blatant humanness and vulnerability have enabled filmmakers to introduce grittier themes to Batman movies. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that The Dark Knight trilogy is one of the most loved as well as top-rated superhero franchises.
The Bat-universe is filled with promising and interesting characters. Alfred, the trusted ally and butler, took on the role of raising Wayne as well as offering him the necessary support to pull off the dual act. The Joker, who is a deranged sociopath, is considered to be the greatest villain of all times. And then there is Catwoman, who catches the eye of Batman but is also a supervillain.
